Brookville, NY – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team continues Northeast Conference (NEC) play Wednesday, April 21 from Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at 1:00 p.m. against the Long Island University (LIU) Sharks in a game that will go a long way in determining conference tournament seeding.

Wagner-LIU History:
Wagner won the first-ever match-up between the teams on March 10, 14-3. Senior
Erin Kerstetter scored four goals as part of a seven-point afternoon. Classmate
Victoria Tucci added a hat trick, and the trio of juniors
Kasey Dorney and
Maria Henwood, as well as sophomore
Megan Greco, all scored twice.

Dorney, Kerstetter and Henwood each caused at least two turnovers, as did junior
Aileen Hannan and freshman
Ryan Murphy. In net, junior
Lauren DiStefano stopped a season-best 12 shots, posting a career-best .800 save percentage
Last Time Out For Wagner:

About LIU:
The Sharks enter Wednesday 9-2 on the season and 7-2 in conference play, including back-to-back one-goal wins.

Francesca Vasile-Cozzo has 16 assists in her last five games, 26 on the season, and leads the team with 32 points. Paige Sherlock is second on the team with 27 points and leads the Sharks with 23 goals, one of seven players with 10 or more goals on the season.

Hailey Duchnowski has started every game and played all but 12:54 in net this season. She comes into Wednesday with a 9.35 goals against average and a .485 save percentage.
What's at Stake:
A win for LIU would net them a split of the season series and put them 2.5 games up on the Seahawks. A Wagner win would give them a sweep of the season series and pull them within a half-game of second with three games left on their regular season schedule.
