Wagner College Athletics

2022 (Senior Season): Started all 16 of her appearances, scored 12 goals and dished out seven assists. Maria also tallied 10 ground balls and took 40 shots. 

2021 (Junior Season): Appeared in all 15 games, starting three during the year… scored twice and added a ground ball in win over Central Connecticut (3/06)… scored two goals and caused two turnovers in win over LIU (3/10)… scored career-high four goals in win over Saint Francis U (4/24)… recorded a hat trick in NEC Semifinal win (5/05).

2020 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in six games as a sophomore… scored a goal and grabbed a ground ball in season-opener against Vanderbilt (2/09)… scored a goal and grabbed a ground ball in win over Vermont (2/23).

2019 (Freshman Season): Appeared in 12 games off the bench as a freshman… scored first collegiate goal and caused a turnover in win over Presbyterian (3/24)… scored a goal in back-to-back wins over Sacred Heart (4/28) and Robert Morris (5/2)… scored two goals in NCAA Tournament win over Fairfield (5/7)… scored final goal of the season against Princeton (5/10).

Before Wagner: Maria Henwood is a 2018 graduate of Charles W. Baker High school as a two-sport athlete in lacrosse and indoor track & field … Second-Team All-League as a freshman and junior …  First-Team All-League as a senior … Broke the school record for the 4x200 as a freshman made state qualification for the 300 and the 4x200 in indoor track … Re-set the school record for the 4x200  made it to states for the 4x2 while coming in 14th overall as a sophomore … Second-Team All-League selection as a freshman and a junior in lacrosse…  First-Team All-League selection as a senior … Chose Wagner for its homelike feel and instant connection with the team … Daughter of Teresa and Andrew Henwood … Has two brothers, Sam (23) and Alex (20).
