Biography
2022 (Senior Season): NEC All-Conference First Team for the second season in a row. Named NEC Player of the Week once while appearing in all 18 games and starting 15 of them. Led the team with 36 goals, 43 points, 27 free-position shots, 15 free position goals, and 49 draw controls. Tallied her 100th career point against Rutgers on April 13.
2021 (Junior Season): One of six players to start all 15 games… First Team All-NEC… finished first in conference play in ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls per game… had nine games with multiple ground balls AND caused turnovers… third on the team in goals (34) and points (41)… caused four caused turnovers and scored career-high six goals in win over Central Connecticut (3/06)… scooped three ground balls, caused three turnovers and grabbed 11 draw controls in win over Merrimack (3/20)… set career-high with 12 draw controls against Mount St. Mary’s (4/17)… registered a hat trick, scooped seven ground balls, and added 10 draw controls in win over LIU (4/21)… recorded six ground balls, six caused turnovers and nine draw controls in win over Saint Francis U (4/24)… scored five goals and added seven draw controls in NEC Semifinal win (5/05).
2020 (Sophomore Season): Started all seven games during sophomore season… led the team with 16 caused turnovers, second on the team with 21 ground balls, tied for third on the team with 10 draw controls, tied for fourth on the team with 10 goals… versatile two-way player, ended season with four straight games of at least one goal, one ground ball, one caused turnover and one draw control… scored two goals and grabbed season-high five ground balls in season opener against Vanderbilt (2/09)… grabbed four ground balls, garnered four draw controls and caused season-high four turnovers against Hofstra (2/18)… recorded a hat trick in win at Colgate (2/29)… scored two goals, added an assist and caused a pair of turnovers in final appearance of the season against Monmouth (3/10).
2019 (Freshman Season): Appeared in 12 games, starting each of her last seven… seventh on the team with 11 goals and 16 points… stuffed the stat sheet with a goal, an assist, a draw control and a caused turnover in win over UMass-Lowell (3/10)… notched season-highs in goals (three), assists (two) and ground balls (three) in win over Robert Morris (4/5)… notched two goals, matched season-high with three ground balls and caused season-high three turnovers in win over Saint Francis (4/7)… scored two goals in final appearance of the season against Mount St. Mary’s (4/13)
Before Wagner: Gaduated from Deer Park High School where she was a four-sport athlete in lacrosse, soccer, basketball, and winter track … In her junior year, she was named All-County in soccer, All-League in winter track and All-County Honorable Mention and team MVP in lacrosse … As a senior, she earned All-County in both soccer and lacrosse, as well as MVP in lacrosse … Also earned the Gold Key Award for playing eight or more varsity sports and the Dellecave Athlete of the Year Award, as well as the Excellence in Physical Education Award … Registered 149 goals and 49 assists in her four years as a lacrosse player and averaged three caused turnovers per game as a senior … National Honor Society and Italian Honor Society member … Chose Wagner for its location, size, education, and great feeling about the program …Intends to major in Nursing … Daughter of Patrick and Kristine Dorney .. Has one brother Steven.
