Staten Island, NY – The latest installment in a long-running Northeast Conference (NEC) rivalry commences Saturday, March 13, when the Wagner College women's lacrosse team battle the Bryant Bulldogs on Grymes Hill.
Wagner-Bryant History
The Seahawks and Bulldogs met in the championship game of the NEC Tournament every year from 2014-2018; Wagner won in 2016 and 2018, with the 2018 game going into double overtime.
In the teams' last match-up in the 2019 regular season, Wagner won 15-8 behind four goals from
Erin Kerstetter, three goals from
Madeline Seims, and two goals from
Victoria Tucci.
Last Time Out For Wagner
Wagner raced past Long Island University (LIU), 14-3, on Wednesday, March 10. The Seahawks got seven points from Kerstetter, a hat trick from Tucci, and two-goal games from
Kasey Dorney,
Maria Henwood, and
Megan Greco.
Defensively, the Seahawks held the Sharks to 10 goals below their season average. Dorney, Kerstetter, Henwood,
Aileen Hannan, and
Ryan Murphy all caused at least two turnovers. In net,
Lauren DiStefano stopped a season-best 12 shots, posting a career-best .800 save percentage.

The Bulldogs will be playing their first game of the season Saturday, following the cancelation or postponement of three previously scheduled games.
