Staten Island, NY - After seeing its six-game winning streak halted on Saturday afternoon in Hackensack, NJ, the Wagner women's basketball team returns home to the Spiro Sports Center as they will wrap up a home-and-home series with Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday, Feb. 15 at 7:00 p.m at the Spiro Sports Center. 

Wagner is looking to halt a three-game losing streak to Fairleigh Dickinson, last picking up a win back on February 23, 2019 at the Rothman Center, 60-44.

The Seahawks last defeated the Knights on Staten Island back on January 14, 2019, earning a 71-59 victory. In that contest, Alayshia Dailey finished with 13 points on 4 of 7 shooting and connecting on 5 of 7 from the free-throw line in 34 minutes of play while Emilija Krista Grava netted 19 points on 8 of 13 shooting, which included a team-high six rebounds in 34 minutes of action.

KRISTA GRAVA NAMED NEC & MBWA PLAYER OF THE WEEK...
  • Junior forward Emilija Krista Grava captured a pair of weekly honors after pouring in 15.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg in Wagner's two wins over St. Francis Brooklyn. 
  • On Monday, she was named Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week. 
  • The next day, the Metropolitan Basketball Writers' Association (MBWA) announced that Krista Grava was Co-Player of the Week along with Manhattan College's, Courtney Warley
  • Since 2004-05, Krista Grava is just the second Seahawk in program history to receiver Player of the Week honors from the MET Writers, joining Jasmine Nwajei, who collected the honor back on Febraury 17, 2015. 
  • Additionally, the Lignate, Latvia native is the first conference player to pick up the honor since Fairleigh Dickinson's Erika Livermore (Dec. 14-20, 2015). 

 
SEAHAWKS SIX-GAME WINNING STREAK (THROUGH THE NUMBERS)...
  • Wagner saw its six-game winning streak halted by Fairleigh Dickinson at the Rothman Center on Saturday afternoon. 
  • Over the last six games, Wagner was averaging 60.0 points per game while outscoring the opponents by 10.5 points per contest (50.5 ppg). 
  • The Seahawks were hitting on 42.1 percent from two-point range and connecting on 34.1 percent from the outside. 
  • Wagner's opponents, on-the-other-hand, were held to just a 33.8 percent clip from the field and 23.4 percent from beyond-the-arc (25 of 107). 
  • The Green & White averaged 14.5 assists per game during this span to just 10.3 from the opposition.

  • Reigning NEC & Metropolitan Basketball Writers' Association (MBWA) Player of the Week, Emilija Krista Grava was one of two Seahawks to average in double figures, as Krista Grava poured in team-highs of 13.8 ppg and 6.0 rpg over the six-game winning streak. The junior forward shot 51.3 percent from the field (39 of 76) in 32.7 minutes per game. 
  • Senior Khaleah Edwards has chipped in 12.2 ppg in 31.5 minutes a contest. Edwards had converted on 41.1 percent from the floor while leading the team with 11 made three-pointers and hitting on 41.1 percent from long range. Additionally, Edwards was a perfect 16 of 16 from the free-throw line over the last six games.

  • In the two-game sweep of St. Francis Brooklyn, Wagner outscored the Terriers, 124-109. 
  • The Seahawks shot a combined 47.5 percent from the field while hitting on 44.4 percent from the outside. 
  • St. Francis Brooklyn was held to just 36.1 percent shooting from two-point range while only converting at a 25.8 percent clip from the outside.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS…
  • The Knights enter play at 11-7 overall and 7-6 in the conference. FDU is looking for its fourth straight win over the Seahawks, after edging out Wagner, 50-48, on Saturday afternoon at the Rothman Center. 
  • Lindsey Mack led the Knights with a team-high 13 points while Madison Stanley chipped in 12 points, which included the eventual game-winner with 1.1 seconds. 
  • As of Saturday, FDU ranks second in the circuit in scoring defense at 59.2 ppg, only trailing Wagner, who is the conference leader at 57.9 ppg. 
  • Stanley ranks fifth in the conference in scoring, just ahead of Wagner's Emilija Krista Grava. She also is tenth in rebounding, pulling down 5.9 boards per game.
