Staten Island, NY – Winners of five of its last six games, the Wagner College baseball team welcomes conference leaders, Bryant, to Richmond County Bank Ballpark, this weekend for a pivotal Northeast Conference (NEC) weekend series featuring the defending co-regular season champions from a season ago.
SCHEDULE UPDATE (4/26/2019 - 1:09 PM) - Today's Wagner baseball contest against Bryant has been postponed due to inclement weather. The series opener, scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on April 26, has been moved to Saturday, as the Seahawks and Bulldogs will now play a doubleheader, with first-pitch scheduled for a 12:00 p.m at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George. The series finale on Sunday, April 27, remains a 1:00 p.m. start.

» With the game tied at 1-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth, the Wagner College baseball team scored the go-ahead and added an insurance run while holding off a late Manhattan rally in the ninth to hold on for the 3-2 win on Wednesday evening at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark.

Nick Zuppe opened tonight's contest, going an inning while striking out one and giving up a hit. The Seahawks used a total of five arms from the bullpen in picking up the victory. Junior
Ryan Lauk earned his second win of the season, working a scoreless eighth inning. Classmate
Nick Robino picked up his sixth save of the season.
» Nick Cimillo led the way for the visiting Jaspers with two hits. Matt Padre was credited with the lone RBI in the contest for the visitors. Carson Coon was saddled with the loss, giving up two runs on three hits in the bottom of the eighth.

McCae Allen was named NEC Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
» For the junior righty, this marks the second time this season that he has earned weekly honors from the conference, as he was tabbed Pitcher of the Week for the first in his career back on March 19.
» The Wichita, KS native took the ball in the series finale against Mount and fired seven innings to earn an 8-2 victory that moved Wagner into sole possession of second place in the NEC standings.
