Staten Island, NY –  Winners of three of its last four games, the Wagner College baseball team returns home to the friendly confines of Richmond County Bank Ballpark as the Seahawks start a seven-game homestand, beginning with tonight's contest against Manhattan College. First-pitch is slated for 6:00 p.m. and will be streamed live on NEC Front Row.

» Wagner and Manhattan will be meeting for the 31st time with the Jaspers leading the head-to-head series, 16-13-1. 
» Wednesday's contest is just the first time in four years that these two New York-based programs will be facing one another, as Wagner took that contest, 9-3, back on April 29, 2015, on Staten Island.

» Junior right-hander McCae Allen limited Mount St. Mary's to just one run while freshman 2B Shamus Connolly and senior 3B Will Johnson combined to drive in five RBIs as Wagner took two-of-three from the Mount in posting an 8-2 victory on Saturday afternoon. 
» With the win, Wagner moved into sole possession of second-place in the Northeast Conference (NEC) standings at 14-21 overall and 8-7 in league play while the Mountaineers fell to 12-26 and 6-9 in league action. 
» Allen fired off a season-high seven innings, allowing just one earned run while scattering four hits in picking up his team-leading fourth victory of the season. The Wichita, KS native matched a career-high with seven strikeouts while yielding just one walk. 
» Connolly was one of three Seahawks with two hits, as the first-year Seahawk drove in a career-best three RBIs in Saturday's victory. Senior Anthony Pecora and sophomore Emil Matti also collected two hits in the contest.

» In the April 29, 2015 contest between the Seahawks and Jaspers, Wagner erupted for six runs in the bottom fo the third that cemented a 9-3 triumph for the Green & White. 
» Current Seahawk Director of Operations, Nick Pavia, earned the win in the game, which was his fourth of the season. 

// Allen Collects Second NEC Pitcher Of The Week Award... 
» McCae Allen was named NEC Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon. 
» For the junior righty, this marks the second time this season that he has earned weekly honors from the conference, as he was tabbed Pitcher of the Week for the first in his career back on March 19. 
» The Wichita, KS native took the ball in the series finale against Mount and fired seven innings to earn an 8-2 victory that moved Wagner into sole possession of second place in the NEC standings. 

// Pecora & Sanfillippo Recognized On #NECPrimePerformer List:
» In addition to Allen earning Pitcher of the Week honors, teammates Anthony Pecora and Tyler Sanfillippo were recognized by the league on the #NECPrimePerformer List 
»  Over the four-game span, Pecora led the team with a .526 batting average, while collecting a team-leading ten hits in 19 at-bats while scoring seven runs. 
» The Mamaroneck, NY native had two doubles, two home runs and drove in four while posting a total OPS of 1.556, highlighted by a team-best .947 slugging percentage. 
» Sanfillippo was a key cog in Wagner's 3-1 week, in which he batted .450 (9-for-20) with four runs scored and driving in a team-high nine RBIs, four of which coming in the April 19 contest against Mount St. Mary's, in which Sanfillippo went 3-for-3.

» Wagner head coach Jim Carone, a two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Coach of the Year, continued his upward trend on the all-time career wins list. 
» Carone has now moved north of 180 career victories, standing at 185
» Carone is just one of two Wagner bench bosses to ever accumulate 175 or more wins, joining former Seahawk head coach, Joe Litterio, who amassed a program-record 240 career wins in 12 seasons on Grymes Hill.
