Philadelphia, PA – The Wagner men's lacrosse team, coming off a tough 12-8 home loss to Mount St. Mary's in a game the Seahawks led in the fourth quarter, continues Northeast Conference (NEC) play on Saturday, April 20 in a 1:00 p.m. start at Saint Joseph's.
The Green & White enter Saturday's play with a 2-10 overall record and an 0-4 mark in the NEC while the Hawks are 6-6 on the season and 2-2 in conference.
Wagner has five double-digit scorers, led by senior midfielder
Spencer Kaufman (17g, 5a) and freshman attackman/midfielder
Stephen Dwyer (12g, 10a), who pace the team with 22 points apiece. Junior attackman
Dominic Branda (16g, 5a) and senior attackman
John Norton (12g, 7a) check in with 21 and 19 points, respectively, followed by junior attackman
Nic Ancona (11g, 3a), Wagner's fifth double-figure scorer with 14 points.
Junior midfielder/faceoff specialist
Nick Warren leads the Seahawks in ground balls with 54, and a has a .464 (123-of-265) winning percentage in the X, sophomore defenseman
Kyle Stofko is the team leader in caused turnovers with 25. In goal, senior
Matt Sefcik has a save percentage of .542 and a goals against average of 11.35.
Following Saturday's contest at Saint Joseph's, Wagner will close out the 2019 season with a Senior Day matchup on Saturday, April 27 vs. Sacred Heart with faceoff between the Seahawks and the Pioneers set for noon.
