Jersey City, NJ  –  After splitting its recent four-game homestand, the Wagner College baseball team will hit the road for the next four games, beginning on Tuesday afternoon as the Seahawks make the short trek to Jersey City, NJ to tangle with the Saint Peter's University Peacocks at Jaroschak Field.

// The Series: 
» Wagner and Saint Peter's will be squaring off for the 41st time with the Seahawks holding a 27-13 series advantage. 
» These two squads have met already once this season, as Wagner defeated the Peacocks, 13-3, back on March 20 at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark on Staten Island. The win marked the fifth straight triumph over Saint Peter's. 
» The last time Saint Peter's earned a victory over Wagner was back on April 16, 2013, when the Peacocks defeated the Seahawks, 12-8, also in Jersey City. 


// Last Time Out For Wagner: 
» Wagner erupted for six runs on five hits in the bottom of the second and held on to take the series finale from the defending Northeast Conference (NEC) champions, LIU Brooklyn, by a 6-4 count on Sunday afternoon. 
» Freshman 2B Shamus Connolly drove in a pair during the six-run second inning outburt while juniors Tyler Sanfillippo and Griffin Schneider added two hits an a run scored in lifting Wagner to victory. 
» Junior starter, McCae Allen, went 5.1 innings in picking up his third win of the season, as he allowed three runs on four hits despite walking six and striking out five.
» Fellow classmate, Justin Beyer, allowed just one hit and one walk while fanning three Blackbirds. Nick Robino came on in the ninth and picked up his fifth save of the season. 


// Last Time Against Saint Peter's: 
» Freshman 3B Shamus Connolly connected for a two-run, inside-the-park home run for his first collegiate hit to lead the Wagner College baseball team to a 13-3 rout over Saint Peter's back on March 20 at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark. 
» Junior Freddy Sabido collected three hits and drove in four as every starter has at least one hit.
» All told, the Seahawks pounded out 18 hits in support of junior Justin Beyer, who scattered three unearned runs on three hits and posted five strikeouts over six effective innings in earning his first victory of the season. 
» Additionally, around the diamond, the Seahawks collectively hit for the cycle. Senior 1B Will Johnson (2-for-5, 3 runs, 2 RBI), had a double, senior 2B Anthony Pecora (3-for-5, run, RBI) and sophomore SS Mike Ruggiero (2-for-4, 2 RBI) each provided singles, sophomore catcher Brandon Hall (1-for-3, 2 runs, RBI) had a triple, while Connolly rounded out with a home run.


// Head Coach Jim Carone Continue To Climb Up The Career Wins Ladder..
» In recording the win in the series finale against LIU Brooklyn (6-4), Wagner head coach Jim Carone, a two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Coach of the Year, continued his upward trend on the all-time career wins list. 
» Carone has now moved north of 180 career victories, standing at 182, heading into this week's four-pack of games (Saint Peter's & three-games at Mount St. Mary's). 
» Carone is just one of two Wagner bench bosses to ever accumulate 175 or more wins, joining former Seahawk head coach, Joe Litterio, who amassed a program-record 240 career wins in 12 seasons on Grymes Hill.
