Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's lacrosse team will play host to the Quinnipiac University Bobcats of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association (MAAC) on Saturday, March 9 in a noon faceoff at Hameline Field.
The Seahawks are led in scoring by junior attackman
Dominic Branda, who set career highs in goals (4) and points (6) last time out vs. VMI. Also finding the back of the net four times that afternoon was
Kevin Gray, which also marked a career high for the senior midfielder.
Branda's team-leading 15 points have come on 11 goals and four assists. The Ringwood, NJ native is followed in scoring by senior attackman
John Norton (6g-7a-13 pts), and senior midfielder
Spencer Kaufman (8g-4a-12 pts). Checking with seven points, on six goals and one assist apiece, are freshman mdifielder

In the faceoff circle, junior
Nick Warren has taken all but three of the Seahawk faceoffs on the year, having won 61-of-130 (.469). On two occasions this season, including in Wagner's most recent contest vs. VMI, the junior has turned faceoff wins into groundballs, followed by fast-break, unassisted goals. For the season, Warren is tied for the top mark on the team in groundballs, as both he and senior long-stick middie
Riley Owens have collected 23 ground balls.
Senior
Matt Sefcik has been in goal for all but the second half vs. VMI, when freshman
Matt Perrotti came on to record the first five saves of his young career in his 30-minute stint vs. the Keydets. For the season, Sefcik has record a goals against average of 10.65, along with a .524 save percentage.
The Seahawks enter Saturday's play with a 1-5 mark while the Bobcats are 1-3. Neither team has played a common opponent to this point in the season, though Wagner has faced a pair of MAAC foes in in Manhattan and Monmouth, each whom who will appear on the Quinnipiac schedule in conference play later in the season,
Following Saturday's matchup with Quinnipiac, the Seahawks will play the first Northeast Conference game under first-year head coach
