West Long Branch, NJ – Following an 11-day break, the Wagner College men's lacrosse team swings back into action on Tuesday, February 26 when the Seahawks travel down to the Jersey Shore to tangle with Monmouth for a 3:00 p.m. faceoff against the Hawks at Kessler Stadium.
The 1-2 Seahawks, who battled Lafayette to the wire last time out in their February 15 home opener, will meet a Monmouth team in search of its first win of the season as the 0-2 Hawks have dropped games to No. 19 Princeton and Delaware.
The Seahawks are led in scoring by senior attackman
John Norton who has tallied eight points on four goals and four assists. Tied for second on the team in scoring with seven points each are senior midfielder
Spencer Kaufman (6g, 1a), and junior attackman
Nic Ancona (5g, 2a).
Junior defenseman
Kyle Stofko is the team leader in caused turnovers with five while senior midfielder
Riley Owens leads the Seahawks with 15 groundballs. Wagner's No. 1 faceoff man is junior midfielder

Matt Sefcik enters the game ranked 19
th nationally in saves per game (13.0), and 25
th in the nation in goals against average (9.87).
Tuesday's game will be a homecoming of sorts for Wagner first-year head coach
Bill McCutcheon who, before being tabbed the Seahawks' head man last October, served five seasons as an assistant at Monmouth under Hawks' head coach Brian Fisher.
