Tucson, AZ – The 2019 Collegiate Baseball Pre-Season All-Americans, powered by Diamond Sports, were announced by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper on Monday afternoon.

Wagner rising junior relief pitcher, Nick Robino, was tabbed Third Team Pre-Season All-American by the publication. Dating back to 1998, Robino becomes the first Seahawk to be named Pre-Season All-American in program history.

Overall, the Seahawk program has had four All-Americans awarded by Collegiate Baseball dating back to 1998.

A native of Wilmington, DE, Robino made 25 appearances out of the bullpen a season ago, when he posted a 7-4 overall record with a 3.09 ERA. The third-year Seahawk recorded a team-high seven saves out of the bullpen, tying him with former Green & White reliever, Chris Pariseau, for fourth-place on the single-season list as Pariseau notched seven saves back in 2000.

In 46.2 innings, Robino fanned 56 batters in 2017 while holding opposing hitters to a .206 batting average. Even more tough on lefties, the junior right-hander held southpaw batters to a miniscule .130 batting average (6-for-46).

In Northeast Conference (NEC) play, he tossed 23.0 innings, going 2-2 with a 3.14 ERA and recorded five saves. In ten appearances during conference contests, Robino struck out 17 batters while limiting opponents to a .216 batting average. He was especially productive with runners on base, as the opposition batted a collective .192 (5-for-26) in this category.

Robino's longest outing of the season came against Coppin State on February 24, when he worked four innings of one-run ball, surrendering a hit while striking out a season-high six batters.

At year's end, Robino collected All-NEC First Team honors as well as being named to the All-Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second Team.
