We Meet Again: Tuesday afternoon marks the second time that the Green & White and Scarlet Knights will face off. For Wagner, the team notched eight hits, two of which coming from D'Amore as he finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Godino drove in the other Seahawk run while ending the 1-for-3.
Series History: The Seahawks and Scarlet Knights are meeting for the 29th time, with Rutgers holding a 22-4-2 edge in the series. The last time the Seahawks won at Bainton Field was back on April 7, 2015, in which they were trailing 4-1 until the top of the eighth inning when the Seahawks erupted for ten runs in the top of the frame to come from behind and defeat Rutgers, 11-4.
Wagner-Rutgers Connection: The common thread of this afternoon's contest is current Rutgers head coach, Joe Litterio. Litterio, a 1994 graduate of Rutgers, spent 12 years as the head coach of the Seahawks, in which he racked up 240 wins, the most in program history. Litterio guided eight players to Major League contracts, which includes 2009 American League (AL) Rookie of the Year and two-time American League All-Star, Andrew Bailey (currently a member of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim). Litterio was named the 2009 Northeast Conference (NEC) Coach of the Year after leading the program to a school-best 31 wins and the program's first and only regular season championship.
Scouting Rutgers: The Scarlet Knights are 16-25 on the year and 5-7 in the Big Ten. After taking the series opener against No. 17 Michigan on Friday, a 12-5 home victory, Rutgers enters Tuesday's game with Wagner looking to stop a two-game losing skid, dropping the series finale, 8-3, to the Wolverines. Mike Carter is the team's leading hitter, batting .373 and is the only Scarlet Knight hitting above .300 for the year. Jawaun Harris paces the team with seven home runs while Carter is the team's leader in RBIs with 30. On the hill, John O'Reilly leads the team with four wins. Max Herrmann has notched a team-high five saves. Serafino Brito has the most strikeouts on the staff with 37.

Danny Marsh (Monroe Township, NJ/Monroe Township) was named Northeast Conference (NEC) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Prior to today's announcement, Marsh garnered the weekly honors back on March 27. Additionally, Marsh joins teammate, senior RHP
Austin Goeke (Bordentown, NJ/The Hun School) as two-time recipients of the award this season as Goeke was named NEC Pitcher of the Week on April 17 and March 6. Marsh lowered his league-leading earned-run average by spinning eight shutout innings in a win over local rival, LIU Brooklyn, on Sunday afternoon. Claiming his fifth win of the season in Wagner's 12-0 victory in the series finale over the Blackbirds, the senior right-hander scattered six hits (all singles) and one walk while registering a career-best 11 strikeouts during the 115-pitch outing. During his outing, Marsh fanned at least one batter in every inning.
