Staten Island, NY -  The Wagner College baseball team looks for its third straight victory as they welcome Atlantic 10 members, the St. Bonaventure University Bonnies. The Seahawks and Bonnies are scheduled to play a nine inning, doubleheader on Friday, April 14, beginning at 12:00 p.m. from the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George.

All-Time Series vs. Bonnies: Wagner and St. Bonaventure are meeting for the very first time. The Seahawks, as a whole, are 14-62-1 against members of the Atlantic 10 conference, last playing Fordham University back on March 19, 2016.  Saint Louis University is the lone school from the conference that Wagner has yet to play in its history.

Scouting The Bonnies: St. Bonaventure split a non-conference doubleheader with Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) members, Niagara, on Tuesday afternoon. The Bonnies took game one by a 5-1 count before falling in eight inning, 2-1, to the Purple Eagles.

Marsh NCAA ERA Leader: Senior co-captain Danny Marsh (Monroe Township, NJ/Monroe Township) is the NCAA Division I ERA leader, as the right-hander has posted a 0.49 ERA over his first six outings (3-1, 1 CG, 37.0 IP). Wagner's all-time ERA single-season leader is former Seahawk standout and 1996 Wagner Hall of Famer Don Finley ('53), who finished the 1953 campaign with a 1.03 ERA.

Goeke Climbing The Seahawk K List: Austin Goeke is rapidly moving up the Wagner career strikeout list. Through seven starts this year, Goeke has 46 strikeouts, giving him 152 for his career. The Bordentown, NJ native needs just two punchouts to tie former Seahawk Mark Nugent ('98) for 11th on Wagner all-time strikeout list as Nugent finished with 154 career K's. Joe Testa ('08) is the all-time leader with 308.

.500 Over The Last Ten: Over the last ten games, the Seahawks are 5-5. Three Green & White hitters are batting over .300 during this stretch, led by junior infielder Sean Mazzio (West Chester, PA/Salesianum School [DE]), who is batting .325 (13-for-40) with two home runs and two triples to go along with seven RBIs. Mazzio has posted a total OPS (On-base plus Slugging %) of .972, as he is slugging .600 over the last ten contests. Fellow junior Anthony Godino (Thornwood, NY/Pleasantville) is 11-for-35 in his last ten games (.314), while also driving in seven runs and going a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base chances. Sophomore C/INF Phil Capra (North Salem, NY/North Salem) is 11-for-36 in his last ten games (.306), while also tallying seven RBIs.

100-Career Hit Club Gains Two New Members: Mazzio became the 56th Seahawk to record at least 100 career hits when he accomplished the feat on March 29 at No. 4 St. John's, in which he went 3-for-4 on the afternoon. The 57th member of the 100-hit club came a week later as Godino went 2-for-3 at Seton Hall, with his first hit coming on a single to left in the second inning. The next member to potentially reach the milestone this season is Capra, who enters play with 83 career hits.
