Brooklyn, NY - The Wagner College baseball team opens Northeast Conference (NEC) play this weekend vs. the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights.
SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to renovations at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, the series between the Seahawks and Knights will be played at 's MCU Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Wagner and FDU will begin with a doubleheader on Friday, March 24. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. with both games slated for nine innings. The series wraps ups from MCU Park on Saturday, March 25, with a nine-inning single gamethat will start at 8:00 p.m. under the bright lights of Coney Island.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Wagner and Fairleigh Dickinson have met 126 times and the series is currently tied at 63-63. Last season, the teams split their four-game series, with Wagner winning the first two games and the Knights taking the final two contests. The Seahawks did outscore the Knights, 20-15, over the four games.
SEAHAWKS AMONG THE NEC: Wagner is currently third in the
Northeast Conference (NEC) rankings in batting average while ranking second in slugging percentage and third in on-base percentage.

Austin Goeke (Bordentown, NJ/The Hun School), and freshman
Chris Mormile (Wildwood, NJ/Wildwood), are ranked in the top three in earned run average, with Marsh leading the conference with a 0.56 ERA. The trio is among the top four in opposing batting averages, with Marsh leading the way at .145 followed by Goeke at .171 and Mormile fourth at .208. Combined, the Seahawk starters have struck out 50 batters through the first 12 games.
