Staten Island, NY - Led by the nation's leading scorer, junior guard Jasmine Nwajei (Rockaway Park, NY/Murry Bertram), who averages 27.5 ppg. and became Wagner's all-time leading scorer on Saturday, the Seahawk women's basketball team hosts Mount St. Mary's in a 7:00 p.m. tip tonight at the Spiro Sports Center.

The Mount holds a 40-15 lead in the all-time series and has won 11 in a row vs. Wagner, including a 64-55 loss in Emmitsburg, MD on January 30.
 
About Mount St. Mary's
The Mountaineers wrap up their  two-game road swing tonight coming off of a 53-50 loss at LIU Brooklyn on Saturday.  Sarafina Arthur-Williams, the Mount's leading scorer at 12.9 ppg., paced the Mountaineers with a team-high 13 points and 12 rebounds, while senior Jody Chickey and sophomore Jessica Harris, the team's second-leading scorer at 10.1 ppg., combined for 15 points to help pace the Mount in the contest. The back-and-forth tilt featured 16 lead changes, and neither team led by more than five points at any point in the game.  Arthur-Williams collected her first double-double of the season and seventh of her career with the 13-point, 12-rebound performance. The double-double was the third of the season for the Mount, as all three have come within the last two weeks. Jessica Harris (18 pts, 12 reb at Sacred Heart) and Alexis Carter (19 pts, 13 reb vs. Wagner) have registered the other double-doubles for the squad this season
 
Nwajei Becomes Wagner's All-Time Leading Scorer on Saturday vs. FDU
NCAA scoring leader Jasmine Nwajei (Rockaway Park, NY/Murry Bergtraum) scored all 23 of her points in the second half vs. Fairleigh Dickinson in becoming Wagner's all-time career scoring leader, as the Seahawks staged a furious second-half rally which came up short as the Knights posted a 73-57 win. The 5-8 guard entered the FDU game 20 points shy of passing Stephanie Samuels as Wagner's all-time leading scorer, a record that has stood for 30 years. Nwajei, who reached the milestone basket on a three-point jumper from left of the arc with 2:42 left to play. has now scored 1,839 career points, which surpasses Stephanie Samuels who amassed 1,835 points from 1982-1986.

Roma Rules the Boards   
It was another productive effort on the boards Saturday vs. FDU for sophomore forward Sofia Roma (Richmond Hill, NY/Nazareth Regional) as the NEC's No. 1 rebounder grabbed nine rebounds vs. the Knights. For the season, the 6-2 Roma averaged an NEC-best 10.7 rpg. and her average in conference play is 13.3 rpg., which is also tops in the league.  Roma owns the top four rebounding games by an NEC player this season:

Wade Career High
Senior guard Tessa Wade (Penn Valley, PA/Lower Merion) was hot early vs. FDU, scoring all 12 of her career-high 12 points in the opening half on a sharp 4-of-5 shooting from three-point range, while Russell added eight for the Seahawks.
 
Rowe Added to Injury List
Against FDU on Saturday, Wagner was without the services of starting guard Lyndsay Rowe (South River, NJ/St. John Vianney) who joined starters Jordyn Peck (Shaker Heights, OH/Shaker Heights) and Alexis Smith (Medford, NY/St. John the Baptist/Illinois) on the injury report.
