Max Schmardel (Eatontown, NJ/Monmouth Regional) picked up his second win in his third start of the year, as the fourth-year Seahawk tossed five innings, allowing one run on three hits with a walk and a strikeout.Classmates
Anthony Battaglia (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph By The Sea) and
Steven Bloodworth (Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon) combined to hurl four innings of scoreless relief with Bloodworth picking up his sixth save of the season and 12th of his career. The 12 saves from Bloodworth moves him into third place all-time in Wagner history ahead of Battaglia, who has 11.

Nick Dini (Monroe Township, NJ/Monroe Township) and senior RF
Zack Yesko (Mukwonago, WI/Mukwonago) each had two hits for the Seahawks. Yesko provided the bulk of the damage for the Green & White with two RBIs. With his inclusion in today's starting lineup, Dini has now appeared in 200 consecutive games, which is good for fifth all-time in Seahawk history.

Nick Mascelli (Clifton, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) drew a nine-pitch walk and junior LF
Ben Ruta (West Windsor, NJ/West-Windsor Plainsboro South) advanced him over to third with a single through the right side. Dini stepped in the batters' box and laced a single to right field which brought in Mascelli. Freshman DH
Anthony Godino (Thornwood, NY/Pleasantville), who was a combined 7-for-10 with 6 RBIs in the first three games against the Blue Devils, sent a single through the right side bringing in Dini to give Wagner a 2-0 lead.
In the top half of the sixth inning, Central Connecticut cut the deficit in half, 2-1, as Dom Severino lifted a deep fly to right, allowing Ryan Costello to tag-up from third and score on the sacrifice fly.
The Seahawks struck for its final two runs of the contest in the bottom half of the stanza. Ruta jumped started the frame with an eight-pitch walk and Dini followed up with a single to left field. A well-executed sacrifice bunt down the third baseline from senior 1B
Tommy Mazurkiewicz (Neshanic Station, NJ/Somerville) advanced both Ruta and Dini into scoring position. Godino was intentionally walked to load the bases for Yesko, who sent the first pitch he saw through the left side, scoring Dini and Ruta.
Wagner will conclude its five-game homestand on Wednesday evening, Apr. 29, as the Seahawks welcome Manhattan to Richmond County Bank Ballpark. First pitch is slated for 7:00 pm.
