With the win, the Highlanders improved 16-12-1 while the Seahawks fall to 15-13-1.
Wagner opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning as freshman 2B
Phil Dickinson (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) singled up the middle to score classmate
Anthony Godino (Thornwood, NY/Pleasantville), as the Seahawk designated hitter led off the inning with a walk before stealing second.
NJIT erupted for six runs in the top of third as junior right-handed starter
Mike Adams (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Holy Spirit) surrendered a trio of two-run singles off the bats of Bryan Haberstroh, Johnny Malatesta, Evan Pietronico. The Highlanders tacked on an additional run in the top of the fifth as Charlton walked with the bases loaded to give NJIT a 7-1 lead.

Nathan Hunt (Kirtland, OH/Hawken School) and junior lefty
Ryan Spahr (Oceanport, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) pitched a combined 3.1 innings of one-run baseball in relief of Adams, who saw his season mark fall to 3-2 after allowing six runs over 3.2 innings.
Senior centerfielder
Trey Nicosia (State College, PA/State College Area) went 2-for-3 and was the lone Seahawk to post a multi-hit performance in the opener of today's doubleheader.
