Staten Island, NY - Wagner broke open a close game with eight runs in the fourth inning while sending 14 batters to the plate en route to posting a dominating 13-2 win over Mount St. Mary's in the first of four games between the teams at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.
With the victory, the Seahawks snap a four game losing streak while improving to 13-27 and 6-7 in the Northeast Conference (NEC) as the Mountaineers fall to 13-21 and 6-11 in the league.

The Seahawks started their big day at the plate with a pair of first-inning runs. Freshman
Nick Mascelli (Clifton, NJ / Seton Hall Prep) led off with a single and would come around to score when senior
Chris Smith (Tampa, FL / Ellsworth  CC (IA)) followed with a run-scoring double to left field. After advancing to third on a fly out, classmate

Wagner then knocked Mount starter LHP Jordan Lawson from the game in the bottom of the fourth. After loading the bases with no outs, Wasilick was walked to force In sophomore
John Lynn (Wallingford, PA / Salesianium (DE)). Mascelli followed with a two-run single up the middle, scoring junior
Tommy Mazurkiewicz (Neshanic Station, NJ / Somerville) and

Nick Dini (Monroe Township, NJ / Monroe Township) was plunked, forcing in Wasilick. Flynn followed by emptying the bases with a three-run double to right center, scoring Mascelli, Smith and Dini. Lynn, who led off the inning with a single, then capped the eight-run frame with a RBI single to plate Flynn while extending the lead out to an insurmountable 11-0.
Mount St. Mary's finally dented the scoreboard in the top of the fifth on Brandon Scott's bases loaded walk but would leave the bases loaded as Casey got Andrew Clow, the NEC's leading hitter, to ground out to retire the side.
The Mountaineers would tack on one more run on Kory Britton's solo home run in the eighth before the Seahawks answered with a pair in the bottom part of the frame to provide the final 13-2 tally.
