Smithfield, RI - Wagner scored four runs while batting around in the top of the ninth to defeat Bryant 6-4 in the teams' series finale at Conaty Park while staying alive in the race for the fourth Northeast Conference (NEC) tournament spot. The Seahawks will now need Fairleigh Dickinson to sweep tomorrow's doubleheader with the Mount to qualify for the four-team event that will begin on Thursday, May 22 at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT.
In victory, the Green & White improves to 19-33 and 11-13 in the NEC while the Bulldogs fall to 39-14 and 19-5 in the league.

Trey Nicosia (State College, PA / State College Area) got things rolling in the top of the ninth with a double to left field before advancing to third on sophomore
Vaughn Champion's (Galloway, NJ / Absegami) sacrifice bunt when his slide jarred the ball loose from John Mullen. Junior
Jason Gordon (Baltimore, MD / Archbishop Curley) was then plunked to load the bases with no outs. Following a fielder's choice grounder that allowed Bryant to get the lead runner at the plate, senior
Chris Smith (Tampa, FL / Ellsworth CC (IA)) hit a RBI single to left field, tying the game up at 3-3. Junior
Nick Dini (Monroe Township, NJ / Monroe Township) followed with a two-run single up the middle before classmate
Tommy Mazurkiewicz (Neshanic Station, NJ / Somerville) added an insurance run with a RBI single while providing Wagner an insurmountable 6-3 advantage.
The Bulldogs got one run back in the bottom of the ninth but no more as sophomore RHP
Mike Adams (Egg Harbor Township, NJ / Holy Spirit) finished off his fifth inning of relief to secure a series split for the Seahawks. Adams (2-5) struck out four while yielding just one run on four hits.
Wagner's rally came after being limited to just two hits over four innings following the resumption of yesterday's halted game.
Dini opened the scoring with a solo home run in the top of the first only to see Bryant answer with a run in the bottom part of the frame.
The Bulldogs then took their first lead of the game with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second.
In the top of the third, the Seahawks immediately rallied for one run as junior
Zack Yesko (Mukwonago, WI / Mukwonago) drew a leadoff walk before advancing to second on a wild pitch. After moving to third on a sacrifice bunt, Yesko would come around to score on Smith's first RBI single of the game.
Both teams were held scoreless in the fourth before a heavy rainfall came while forcing a delay and eventually a postponement.
Mazurkiewicz paced a 10-hit attack by going 3-for-5 with a RBI while Dini was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Smith matched Dini with a pair of hits and two RBI.
Cole Fabio and Buck McCarthy each recorded two hits to lead the way for Bryant. Brandon Bingel (1-2) was saddled with the loss, allowing four runs in 0.2 innings of work.
