Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's lacrosse team will play host to the Titans of the University of Detroit (2-3) on Saturday at Hameline Field with faceoff set for 1:00 pm.
The Seahawks enter the contest with a 1-2 record and feature the reigning NEC Rookie of the Week in redshirt freshman midfielder and faceoff weapon
William McMenamin (Longport, NJ/At. Augustine Prep) who helped key the epic 7-6 four-overtime victory over Monmouth on February 26. The gritty 5-5, 155-pound McMenamin was instrumental in the win over Monmouth, winning an impressive15-of-17 faceoffs for a winning percentage of .882, while collecting an eye-opening 13 ground balls while scoring a goal.
In Wagner's next game, on March 1 vs. Saint Joseph's, McMenamin talled a goal and an assist, while winning 10-of-20 faceoffs. He also collected five ground balls in a game that saw the Hawks pull away late for a 12-8 win in the NEC opener for both teams.
