The Wagner College women's basketball team hosts the Pioneers of Sacred Heart at Spiro Sports Center on Monday night. It is the lone meeting of the 2012-2013 season between the two schools, as the Seahawks do not travel to Fairfield this year.

Wagner is looking to split the weekend following a 74-56 loss to first-place Quinnipiac on Saturday. Three Seahawks were in double-figures against the Bobcats, as sophomore Stephanie Blais and freshman Jordyn Peck each had 15 points, while junior Laura Amorosa finished one shy of her career-high, tallying 10. Senior Veronick Fournier grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds in the game.

Peck leads Wagner at 11.4 ppg, while Blais has tallied 10.3, and senior Marie-Laurence Archambault has added 10.1. Fournier is the team's leading rebounder with 5.8 rpg, and sophomore Jacqui Thompson leads the team with 4.0 apg.

Scouting The Pioneers
Sacred Heart comes to Staten Island on a five-game winning streak, having most recently defeated Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. The road has not been very kind to the Pioneers, who are 4-5 in road games, as opposed to 2-1 at neutral sites and 8-1 at the Pitt Center. However, they have won their last three on the road.

Sophomore Gabrielle Washington leads the Pioneers at 15.8 ppg. Seniors Morgan Merriman and Kiley Evans are also in double-figures at 11.8 and 11.7 ppg, respectively. Junior Enjoli Bland has pulled down a team-best 6.3 rpg, while sophomore Ericka Norman has dished out an NEC-leading 7.1 apg.

All-Time vs. Sacred Heart
Monday's game is the 27th meeting between the Seahawks and Pioneers, with Sacred Heart holding an 18-8 edge in the all-time series. The Pioneers won the only game between the two schools last year.
