For Monday night's game, all women are admitted for 50% off the regular price of tickets. Battle Of The Outerbridge
Wagner wraps up the first weekend of NEC play when Monmouth makes the short trip from New Jersey for a Monday night showdown at Spiro Sports Center. The Seahawks are looking to split the opening weekend following a 68-59 loss to FDU on Saturday. Senior Marie-Laurence Archambault led Wagner with a season-high 20 points, while freshman Jordyn Peck added a career-best 19. Both players grabbed a career-high eight rebounds, while redshirt-freshman Ebony Jennings pulled down a career high seven boards.

Through 12 games, Archambault leads the Seahawks offensively with 9.4 ppg, while sophomore Stephanie Blais is right behind at 9.3. Peck's performance on Saturday raised her average to 7.8 ppg. Sophomore Ugo Nwaigwe is the team's leading rebounder at 5.1 rpg, with senior Veronick Fournier grabbing an average of 4.8 boards per contest. Sophomore Jacqui Thompson is dishing out 4.5 apg, good for third in the NEC.

Scouting The Hawks
Monmouth is also looking for its first NEC win of the season, having dropped its conference opener on Saturday at Mount St. Mary's, 70-51. Chevannah Paalvast led the Hawks offensively with 18 points. MU has dropped five of its last six, including decisions against No. 4 Duke and Georgetown, who features the nation's second-leading scorer in Sugar Rodgers. The Hawks' wins on the season have come against Manhattan and Lafayette - both at home - and a double-overtime victory at Lehigh.

Monmouth has played the last three games without leading scorer Alysha Womack, who averages 16.3 ppg, fourth-best in the NEC. Paalvast has averaged 12.3 ppg for the Hawks on the season. Abigail Martin leads Monmouth with 6.1 rpg, while Sara English has recorded 1.6 bpg, good for second in the NEC.

All-Time vs. Monmouth
Monday marks the 65th all-time meeting between Wagner and Monmouth, with the Hawks holding the series lead, 40-24. Monmouth swept the season series last year.

See You Again
Monday's game is the first of two this season between Wagner and Monmouth, but is the third time that the two teams will play on the same court on the same day. The Seahawks played a neutral-site game at Monmouth against Lehigh on Nov. 23 prior to Monmouth's game against Lafayette, Both teams then traveled to Lehigh for games at Stabler Arena on Nov. 25, when Wagner played Lafayette following Monmouth's game against host Lehigh.

Boards Aren't Boring
Three Seahawks pulled down a career-high number of rebounds in Saturday's game vs. FDU. Senior Marie-Laurence Archambault and freshman Jordyn Peck each grabbed eight rebounds, while redshirt-freshman Ebony Jennings had seven. The 27 defensive rebounds were the second most this season, trailing only the 36 recorded at Columbia (Nov. 14).

Stealing Is Okay On A Basketball Court
Wagner recorded 10 steals in Saturday's game vs. FDU, with Veronick Fournier tallying three, and Ebony Jennings and Laura Amorosa each coming up with two. Saturday was the third time this season the Seahawks had 10 steals, The Green & White recorded 11 steals against Iona (Dec. 1), following it up with 12 at Syracuse (Dec. 4).

Dishing And Swishing
Sophomore Jacqui Thompson is third in the NEC with 4.5 apg. Thompson has tallied seven or more helpers in four contests this year, including three of the past five games. Her season high came on Dec. 17 against New Hampshire, when she recorded eight assists.

Air Jordyn
Freshman Jordyn Peck impressed on the big stage in front of the 7,876 fans in attendance at Dec. 21's game vs. Louisville, scoring 15 points off the bench to lead the Seahawks. She topped the 15-point performance by tallying career-highs in points (19) and rebounds (8) against FDU (Jan. 5). Peck has won the Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week award twice this season. The freshman from the Buckeye State has made an immediate impact for the Green & White, averaging 7.8 points and 19.1 minutes per game.

Amorosa Named To All-Tournament Team
Sophomore Laura Amorosa was named to the Saint Joseph's Hawk Classic All-Tournament Team for her play during the games against UMBC (Dec. 28) and Fairfield (Dec. 29). Amorosa tallied a career-high seven rebounds in the first game against the Retrievers, following it up with a season-best nine points against the Stags.

MLA Style
Senior Marie-Laurence Archambault enters play Monday 93 points away from joining the Seahawks' 1,000-point club. There have been 22 1,000-point scorers in Seahawk history. The most recent Wagner player to achieve the feat was Kelly Clark, who reached the mark last season.

Threes Fallin'
Wagner has made at least eight three-pointers in five games this season. The Seahawks tallied nine made shots from outside the arc against FDU (Jan. 5), in addition to four games making eight: vs. Army (Nov. 9), Lehigh (Nov. 23), New Hampshire (Dec. 17), and UMBC (Dec. 28).

Les Habitants de Staten Island
Three of the Seahawks' top four scorers through the team's first 12 games - sophomore Stephanie Blais (9.3 ppg), along with seniors Marie-Laurence Archambault (9.4 ppg) and Veronick Fournier (6.4 ppg) are all from the province of Quebec. All three attended College Montmorency.

Jacqui The Key
A bright spot in the Dec. 4 game against Syracuse was the play of sophomore guard Jacqui Thompson. The Keystone State native scored a season-high 12 points, posting career-bests in rebounds (5) and minutes played (38).

Here We Go, Ugo
Sophomore center Ugo Nwaigwe grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds against Iona (Dec. 1), and tied her career-high in points, tallying eight on the afternoon.

Have a Day, Blais
Sophomore Stephanie Blais scored a career-high 20 points in the game against Lehigh (Nov. 23), reaching her previous high of 14 points with 2:17 remaining in the first half. Blais also set career-highs in field goals made (8), steals (2), and minutes played (36).

Building Blocks
Wagner blocked eight Lehigh shot attempts on Nov. 23, tied for the most in a regulation game since the Seahawks rejected 10 Robert Morris shots on Jan. 10, 2011. The Green & White then matched the Lehigh total against Iona on Dec. 1. Through 12 games, sophomore Stephanie Blais is averaging 1.3 blocks per game, tied for third in the NEC.

Welcome to the Show
Two Seahawk freshmen made their collegiate debuts in the season opener against Army (Nov. 9). Jordyn Peck earned Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week honors for her performance against the Black Knights, tallying nine points an assist and a steal in 17 minutes of play, without committing a single turnover. Emily Adams recorded two minutes off the bench, grabbing one offensive rebound in her debut with the Green & White. Tessa Wade made her Seahawk debut at Pitt (Nov. 20), tallying four minutes off the bench, while Ebony Jennings grabbed an offensive rebound in her collegiate debut against Syracuse (Dec. 4).

Numero Uno
The Nov. 14 victory over Columbia was the first in the head coaching career of Lisa Cermignano. The Seahawks' first-year head coach served as an assistant at Maryland, Monmouth, George Washington, Vanderbilt, and Illinois before being hired as head coach at Wagner.

Cutting Through the Ivy
The Nov. 14 victory over Columbia moves the Seahawks to 16-7 all-time over the Lions, and 22-17 against the Ivy League. The Seahawks hold a 5-7 mark against Princeton, are 1-1 vs. Dartmouth, and 0-2 vs. Harvard.

Coach Cermignano Announces Class Of 2017
Wagner College Head Women's Basketball Coach Lisa Cermignano announced the signing of five student-athletes to national letters of intent earlier in the season. 5-9 shooting guard Maria Conyers-Jordan (Philadelphia, PA/ Friends' Central), 5-11 small forward Jackie Dluhi (Middletown, NJ/ Middletown South), 5-8 point guard Jasmine Nwajei (Rockaway Park, NY/ Murry Bergtraum), 5-8 shooting guard Lyndsay Rowe (South River, NJ/ St. John Vianney) and 6-3 forward Shakila Small(Brooklyn, NY/ Medgar Evers College Prep) will join the Seahawks for the 2013-2014 school year.

Wagner Honors The Coast Guard
The Seahawks held Coast Guard Day at Spiro Sports Center on Dec. 1 against Iona to honor members of the U.S. Coast Guard. The event was pushed back - and given added significance - following the effects of Hurricane Sandy on Staten Island and the Tri-State area.

Coaching Connections
So far this season, first-year head coach Lisa Cermignano has faced two fellow alumnae of New Jersey's Gloucester Catholic High School - Pitt's Agnus Berenato and Lafayette's Dianne Nolan. Nolan attended Glassboro State College, now Rowan University. Wagner assistant coach Gina Catanzariti graduated from Rowan in 2011, having scored over 1,000 points during her time in Glassboro. Catanzariti's college teammate, Ashley Cieplicki, was an assistant coach on the opposing bench for the game against Fairleigh Dickinson. The Seahawks have also faced a father and daughter pairing of head coaches this season - Army's Dave Magarity and New Hampshire's Maureen Magarity.

Brooklyn Teams on Tap
The Seahawks will split the second weekend of NEC play between home and road. On Saturday, Jan. 12, Wagner hosts St. Francis Brooklyn at 1:00 pm, before traveling across the Verrazano to take on LIU Brooklyn, Monday, Jan. 14 at 7:00 pm. Both games will be carried on NECFrontRow.com.
