Wagner begins a stretch of five straight games away from Spiro Sports Center on Monday when the Seahawks make the short inter-borough trip to Brooklyn to face LIU. Scouting The Blackbirds
LIU looks to snap a six-game losing streak on Monday, having dropped its first three NEC games at Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart before falling on Saturday to Mount St. Mary's at Barclays Center. The Blackbirds' wins this seasons have come against Columbia, Towson and Ohio.
Senior Krystal Wells leads LIU with 8.4 ppg, while fellow senior Tamika Guz has 8.0 ppg. Junior Cleandra Roberts is the Blackbirds' leading rebounder at 5.4 rpg, and junior Kelly Robinson leads LIU with 4.7 apg, putting her second in the NEC.

Monday's meeting is the 73rd all-time between the two NYC schools, with Wagner holding a 40-32 edge. LIU won both meetings last year, and the past six.

The Seahawks took a season-best 22 free throw attempts against Monmouth (Jan. 7). It was the second of three consecutive games in which Wagner had double-digit chances from the line, as the Seahawks made 17 trips to the charity stripe on Saturday against St. Francis Brooklyn.
Making Her Presence Known

Ebony Jennings has appeared in each of the past eight games for the Seahawks, and made an impact on Wagner's first two NEC games. Against FDU (Jan. 5), Jennings pulled down a career-high seven rebounds. Two days later vs. Monmouth, she grabbed five boards in a career-best 18 minutes.

Jacqui Thompson is third in the NEC with 4.2 apg. Thompson has tallied seven or more helpers in four contests this year. Her season high came on Dec. 17 against New Hampshire, when she recorded eight assists.
Amorosa Named To All-Tournament Team

Laura Amorosa was named to the Saint Joseph's Hawk Classic All-Tournament Team for her play against UMBC (Dec. 28) and Fairfield (Dec. 29). Amorosa tallied a career-high seven rebounds in the first game against UMBC, following it up with nine points against the Stags.
Threes Fallin'
Wagner has made at least eight three-pointers in six games this season. The Seahawks tallied nine made shots from outside the arc against FDU (Jan. 5) and St. Francis Brooklyn (Jan. 12), in addition to four games making eight: vs. Army (Nov. 9), Lehigh (Nov. 23), New Hampshire (Dec. 17), and UMBC (Dec. 28). The Seahawks are currently third in the NEC in made three-pointers per game at 6.29.

A bright spot in the Dec. 4 game against Syracuse was the play of sophomore guard

Ugo Nwaigwe grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds against Iona (Dec. 1), and tied her career-high in points, tallying eight on the afternoon.
Building Blocks
Wagner blocked eight Lehigh shot attempts on Nov. 23, tied for the most in a regulation game since the Seahawks rejected 10 Robert Morris shots on Jan. 10, 2011. The Green & White then matched the Lehigh total against Iona on Dec. 1. Through 14 games, sophomore

The Nov. 14 victory over Columbia was the fi rst in the head coaching career of
Lisa Cermignano. The Seahawks' first-year coach served as an assistant at Maryland, Monmouth, George Washington, Vanderbilt, and Illinois before joining Wagner.

Sophomore
Stephanie Blais scored a career-high 20 points in the game against Lehigh (Nov. 23), reaching her previous high of 14 points with 2:17 remaining in the fi rst half. Blais also set career-highs in field goals made (8) and minutes played (36).
Cutting Through the Ivy
The win at Columbia (Nov. 14) moves the Seahawks to 16-7 all-time over the Lions, and 22-17 against the Ivy League. The Seahawks are 5-7 vs. Princeton, 1-1 vs. Dartmouth, and 0-2 vs. Harvard.

Two Seahawk freshmen made their collegiate debuts in the season opener against Army (Nov. 9).
Jordyn Peck earned Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week honors for her performance against the Black Knights, tallying nine points, an assist and a steal in 17 minutes of play without committing a turnover.
Emily Adams recorded two minutes off the bench, grabbing one offensive rebound in her debut with the Green & White.
Tessa Wade made her Seahawk debut at Pitt (Nov. 20), tallying four minutes of action, while
Ebony Jennings grabbed an offensive rebound in her collegiate debut at Syracuse (Dec. 4).

Shakila Small(Brooklyn, NY/ Medgar Evers College Prep) will join the Seahawks for the 2013-2014 school year.
Coaching Connections
So far this season, first-year head coach
Lisa Cermignano has faced two fellow alumnae of New Jersey's Gloucester Catholic High School - Pitt's Agnus Berenato and Lafayette's Dianne Nolan. Nolan attended Glassboro State College, now Rowan University. Wagner assistant coach Gina Catanzariti graduated from Rowan in 2011, scoring 1,017 points during her time in Glassboro. Catanzariti's college teammate, Ashley Cieplicki, was an assistant coach on the opposing bench for the game against FDU. The Seahawks have also faced a father and daughter pairing of head coaches this season - Army's Dave Magarity and New Hampshire's Maureen Magarity.
