Hamden, CT – Dylan Webster scored a game-high four goals, won 14-of-17 faceoffs and caused four turnovers while Jay Binkowski added three goals to lead Quinnipiac to a 15-5 Northeast Conference (NEC) victory over Wagner on Saturday afternoon.
Wagner hung tough early, trailing by just a 4-2 margin after one quarter and by a 6-3 count following a goal by junior midfielder Colin O'Rourke (Worcester, MA/ St. John's Shrewsbury) with 5:15 left in the first half. But the Bobcats ended the first half with three straight goals to go up 9-3 at halftime before opening the second half with five consecutive goals, capped by a Binkowski tally, in building a 14-3 edge midway through the fourth quarter.

Nick DePhillips (Glen Ridge, NJ/ Glen Ridge) paced the Seahawks with one goal and one assist apiece. Also scoring one goal for the Seahawks was O'Rourke, senior attackman
Mike Hurley (Billerica. MA/ Billerica), and freshman midfielder Corey Santor (Glastonbury, CT/ Glastonbury).
Quinnipiac goalie Dylan Torey picked up the win, recording four saves while playing the first 52 minutes of the game. For Wagner, sophomore Nichoas Gibaldi (Rocky Point,NY/ Rocky Point) stopped 13 shots for Wagner.
Quinnipiac out-shot Wagner 44-18, led in ground balls 34-19 and won 16-of-23 faceoffs. The Seahawks also struggled handling the ball in the open field as they were successful on just 11-of-20 clear attempts.
With the loss, Wagner falls to 0-11 on the season, 0-2 in the NEC while the Bobcats are now 3-6 on the season and a perfect 2-0 in conference play.
The Seahawks are next in action on Saturday, April 14 when the Seahawks play host to the Sacred Heart Pioneers at 1:00 pm.
