Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's and women's lacrosse teams will both be in action on the road today facing Northeast Conference (NEC) rivals as the Seahawk women conclude the 2012 season at Saint Francis (PA) while the men's team meets No. 19 Bryant with both games beginning at 1:00 pm.
The women will be gunning for their seventh win of the season when they look to snap a five-game losing streak vs. the Red Flash. Wagner enters the game with a 6-10 overall mark and a 1-7 record in the NEC. The Red Flash enter today's Senior Day clash with a mark of 3-13, 1-7 in league play.
The men are coming off of their first victory of the season, a thrilling 11-8 come-from-behind effort over Sacred Heart and are 1-11 overall, 2-2 in the NEC. Bryant, meanwhile, has been one of the major stories in the nation this season. The Bulldogs enter today's fray with an 11-3 mark and a perfect 3-0 record in the NEC.
The Bulldogs had their 10-game winning streak snapped last time out, dropping a heart-breaking 11-10 double-overtime loss to Ivy League member Yale.

Nicholas Gibaldi (Rocky Point, NY/ Rocky Point) was rewarded for his superb career-high 20-save outing in by being named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Defensive Player of the Week.
In addition to his 20 saves, several on shot from point-blank range, Gibaldi collected four ground and helped direct and execute a defensive effort that held the Pioneers scoreless for the game's final 20-plus minutes, allowing Wagner to mount a 5-0 game-ending run.
After making five stops in the first half, Gibaldi was particularly stellar in the latter portions of the contest. He stuffed the Pioneers on seven attempts in the third quarter before shutting the door in the fourth, recording eight stops while the Seahawk offense rallied from an 8-6 deficit with the 5-0 run that sealed Wagner's first win under first-year head coach head coach
