Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College men's (0-1) lacrosse team will host the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers (1-1) in a battle of teams whose coaches are in their first season at their respective schools.
The Seahawks are guided by former Virginia All-American midfielder and two-time National Champion
Matt Poskay, who arrived on Grymes Hill in June following two seasons as an assistant coach at Kean University in his native New Jersey. Poskay, is currently an All-Star professional player for the Boston Cannons of the Major Lacrosse League (MLL) . The league's MVP in 2010, he helped guide the Cannons to the 2011 League Championship.
The Seahawks are paced by tri-captains Colin O'Rourke, who had a hat trick in Wagner's season-opening 24-7 loss at Army, along with senior attack

Brian Brecht takes over the RU program after a successful stint at Siena where he led the Saints to 57 victories (57-28) over the past five seasons. Under his direction, the Saints earned four MAAC regular season championships and two MAAC tournament crowns, while also making the first two NCAA Tournament appearances in program history. He was named the MAAC Coach of the Year in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
The Scarlet Knights opened the season with a 16-8 loss to No. 2 Duke on Feb. 11 before bouncing back with an 11-10 victory over Air Force on Feb. 19.
The Scarlet Knights are led by by sophomore attack Nick DePaolera who has seven points on four goals and three assists while senior midfielder Will Mangan checks in with six points on a team-high five goals and one assist.
