Hamden, CT – The Wagner College men's lacrosse team dropped a 20-3 decision to Quinnipiac this afternoon. With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 0-2 on the season while the Bobcats improve to 1-1.
Junior attack
Will Macumber (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) scored one goal and assisted on another for the Seahawks. Also scoring goals for the Green & White were senior midfielder
Sean Travis (Calverton, NY/Riverhead) and sophomore attack
Marc Payson (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown).

Mike Hurley (Bellerica, MA/Bellerica) registered two assists on the afternoon. Sophomore
Peter Rubin (East Rockaway, NY/East Rockaway) had eight saves in goal for Wagner.
Leading the way offensively for Quinnipiac was Christian Haggerty who had three goals, while Jack Oppenheimer, Billy Alessi and Garett Kerr recorded two goals apiece.
Quinnipiac out-shot Wagner 51-21, led in ground balls 48-22 and won 22-of-26 faceoffs.
Wagner is next in action on Saturday, March 6 when the Green & White travel to Lafayette to meet the Leopards in a 1:00 pm faceoff.
