Matt Watson (Howell, NJ / Howell) struck out a season-high five over 6.0 innings while senior RHP
Andrew Huebner (Hatfield, PA / North Penn) fired a scoreless seventh, leading Wagner to a 5-4 win over Mount St. Mary's in game one of a doubleheader at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. The Green & White are now 19-15 and 8-6 in the Northeast Conference (NEC) while the Mountaineers fall to 17-19 and 9-5 in the NEC.
Watson improved to a NEC-best 6-1 while fanning five and yielding just four runs, three earned, on six hits and a walk over 6.0 innings. Huebner scattered one single in the top of the seventh while recording his eighth save of the season in as many chances and the 20th of his career.
Tied at 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth, sophomore
Seth Boyd (Perth Amboy, NJ / Perth Amboy) singled through the right side with two outs, plating classmate
Jared Gruccio (Mountainside, NJ / Buena Regional) with the eventual game-winning run.

Jon Lucas (Hackettstown, NJ / Hackettstown) led the way for the Green & White offense, going 2-2 with a run, RBI and a walk.
Mount St. Mary's struck first with a run in the top of the second, scoring an unearned run on a pair of singles and a pair of Wagner errors.
The Green & White responded by loading up the bases with no outs in the bottom part of the second. Junior
Joe Conforti (Staten Island, NY / Farrell) was hit by a pitch, forcing in Lucas, who singled to left field to lead off the frame.
The Mountaineers reclaimed the lead in the top of the third on Tommy Flynn's first home run of the year, a solo shot to right field while making it 2-1.
Wagner took its first lead of the game with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth. Sophomore
Matt Logan (Wall, NJ / Wall) led off with a single through the left side. Classmate
Brian Martutartus (Carlsbad, CA / La Costa Canyon) moved Logan to second with a sacrifice bunt and was safe on a fielding error by the pitcher. The pair advanced to second-and-third on a successful sacrifice fly by Conforti. Junior
Damian Csakai (Freehold, NJ / Freehold) tied the game up at 2-2 with a sacrifice fly to right field while moving Martutartus to third. Martutartus then scampered in from third on a wild pitch, putting the Green & White in front 3-2.
Mount St. Mary's immediately tied it up at 3-3 on Buddy Fields' two-out run-scoring single up the middle, plating Zach Helman who walked to lead off the top of the fifth.
The Seahawks immediately responded in the bottom part of the fifth. Junior
Vin Avella (Matawan, NJ / CBA) led off with a double down the left-field line. Lucas put the Green & White in front at 4-3 on a RBI single up the middle from Lucas.
Mount St. Mary's tied it up in the top of the sixth with another two-out hit as Josh Winter's double to left center plating Matt Staso, who was hit by a pitch.
Wagner responded with a two-out run in the bottom of the sixth. Gruccio was hit by a pitch with two outs. He moved over to third on an error by the second baseman before Boyd smashed a single on the first pitch he saw through the right side, scoring Gruccio.
Fields and Kyle Kane each recorded two of Mount's seven hits, pacing the Mountaineers.
