Junior wide receiver D’Erren Wilson (Greenville, TX / Greenville), a transfer from the University of Central Florida (UCF) made a huge splash in his first game as a Seahawk, grabbing 10 receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown in helping to lead Wagner to a resounding 37-7 opening-game win over Saint Anselm on August 31. Third quarter six-yard TD reception in the back of the end zone from junior QB Alex Thomson (Keyport, NJ / Keyport) on 3rd-and-2 which extended the Seahawk lead to 20-0. The rangy 6-3, 200-pound Wilson had a game-long 35-yard reception and another of 28 yards on the evening.
