2023 (Graduate Season): Appeared in a career-high 14 games while making three starts. Notched a career-high 21 ground balls while going 68-172 in face offs.

2022 (Senior Season): Appeared in 12 games and made four starts… Went 38-for-93 on faceoffs on the year… Won 6-of-7 faceoffs on 3/12 vs. Mercer… Won a season-high 10 faceoffs on 4/23 vs. Merrimack… Collected 13 ground balls… Tied his career-high with four ground balls on 4/30 at Bryant.

2021 (Junior Season): Appeared in eight games with one start as team’s primary face-off specialist… won 45-of-109 face-offs, finishing the season with 15 ground balls, tied for fifth on the team… won 8-of-16 face-offs with three ground balls against Merrimack (3/13)… won 15-of-30 face-offs with four ground balls against LIU (3/27)… won 5-of-9 face-offs with four ground balls in season finale against Mount St. Mary’s (5/07).

2020 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in three games, starting one in first season on Grymes Hill… won a face-off in season opener against Hofstra (2/08)… won five face-offs in final games of the season against Hartford (3/07).

2019 (Freshman Season at NJIT):
Saw the field in six games as a freshman... scooped four ground balls, including three at Hampton (Apr. 6).

Personal: Attended Holy Ghost Prep in Bensalem, PA. … played basketball his freshman year. … Bucks County Courier Times First-Team selection as a junior after breaking school records for face-off percentage (73%) and ground balls (180) in a season… set school record for ground balls as a senior (185) while winning 71% of his face-offs, earning Bucks County Courier Times Lacrosse Player of the Year honors…. son of Donna Tortu and Edward Rueter… has a younger brother, Phillip… an intended business major at Wagner… favorite TV show is “Arrested Development.”
