Wagner College Athletics

2025 (Senior Season): Appeared in all 14 games, making 10 starts, during his senior campaign. Mercado scored five goals on 13 shots, with seven being on target. Mercado added two assists, a team-high 60 ground balls, caused two turnovers, and went 127-260 (48.8%) on face-offs. Against Cleveland State on 3/15, Mercado scored one goal, dished out one assist, collected seven ground balls, caused on turnovers, and won 11 out of 16 face-off opportunities. 

2024 (Junior Season): Won 59 face-offs for a percentage of 41.3 while making 15 appearances. Recorded his lone point of the season with a goal at VMI on April 10.

2023 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in four games.

2022 (Freshman Season): Appeared in six games… Made his collegiate debut and scored his first career goal on 2/19 at Fairfield… Also collected two ground balls in his collegiate debut... Won four faceoffs on the season, including three in his collegiate debut.

Before Wagner: Varsity member of the Shoreham Wading River High School lacrosse and football teams… Top 50 lacrosse player on Long Island in 2020 and 2021… Was a top-five face-off get-off specialist on Long Island… Won the 2019 State Championship. 

Personal: Majoring in Pre-Law… Son of Tiffany and Raul Mercado… Brother Cristian is also a member of the Wagner men’s lacrosse team. Chose Wagner because he wanted to be with his brother and it’s close to home.
