PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Wagner totaled 26 team points to finish in ninth place at the Rutgers Relays.
Senior Angela Cavalieri won the 5,000m run with an 18:20.26 time, a personal best for her. Sophomore Christine Manneh finished fourth in the 100m, running an 11.87-second race.
In the 4x100 relay, sophomore Nicolina Siracusa, Manneh, sophomore Jasmine Burney and junior June Fernandez combined for a 48.58-second time, good for third place.
Fernandez also took 12th in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best 1:08.17 time. Burney's 59.67-second time in the 400m dash was a personal best, good for 13th place. Senior Angel Okafor finished 15th with a 59.88-second season best. Okafor also logged a 26.38-second time in the 200m.
In triple jump, sophomore Mia Petersen took eighth place with an 11.47m performance. Freshman Rikayla Bingham finished 15th with a 10.82m jump, while sophomore Madison Maxwell and junior Victoria Gontoqicz added 10.65m and 10.36m jumps, respectively. Petersen also finish fifth in long jump with a 5.69m jump.
Senior Saranda Capani logged a 3.08m pole vault clearance to finish 12th as Wagner's lone representative in the event. In the throws, senior Dayana Rodriguez finished 13th in hammer throw with a 43.97m performance. Sophomore Kate Connolly ran a 4:57.98 time in the 1,500m run to finish 20th.
Next up, the Seahawks will again split their time, heading to the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships and Rider Invitational on Saturday, April 18. The IC4A/ECAC Championships, a two-day meet stretching into Sunday, April 19, will be held at Rutgers' Bauer Track & Field Complex. The Rider Invitational, just held on Saturday, will be at the Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex.
