Through six games this season, the St. Louis, Mo., native leads the Green & White with 21 points on 14 goals and seven assists.

Mitchell's recognition also marks the third consecutive week a Seahawk has earned a major NEC award, following Dylan Popehn (Rookie of the Week) and Angus Snow (Defensive Player of the Week).

Along with Mitchell, sophomore Cole Yoshioka and freshman Dylan Popehn were tabbed as Week 5 NEC Prime Performers for their outings against the Highlanders.

Mitchell and the Seahawks return to action on Saturday, March 14, when they travel to face LIU. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Shark Stadium.
