Twenty-Three Returners to Highlight 2026 Baseball Roster

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Going into the 2026 season, head baseball coach Craig Noto is returning 23 players from its 2025 roster.

The returners are joined by a class of 10 transfers and 12 freshmen.

Pitching Staff

Right-hander Vincent Corso begins a graduate season in 2026, a transfer from Richmond who made 10 appearances in his first season on Grymes Hill. He finished 2025 with 11.1 innings of work, allowing 22 runs on 20 hits and striking out 13.

Righty Christopher Collina enters his junior season after posting a 3.60 ERA in 2025. Collina finished with a 1.47 WHIP across 15.0 innings pitched across four starts and eight bullpen appearances. He recorded seven scoreless outings and three multi-strikeout performances.

Senior Andrew Rucci is a right-handed pitcher the Seahawks who heads into his fourth season on Grymes Hill. Rucci is 3-1 in three seasons of work, with 7.2 innings pitched and six strikeouts across 50 batters faced.

Senior righty Colin Trizuto is the lone returner of Wagner's weekend rotation, a key arm who can carry a heavy load. A transfer from West Valley College, Trizuto made 15 starts in 2025 to finish with a 4.96 ERA in 61.2 innings of work. He earned a 4-3 record, allowing 43 runs and 65 hits while striking out 41.

Lefty Keith Davis is heading into his junior season with the Seahawks, coming off a sophomore campaign where he made 17 appearances out of the bullpen. Davis finished that effort with a 4.01 ERA across 24.2 innings, giving up 16 runs and 22 hits while striking out 19.

Sophomore William Grayson is a right hander who made 11 appearances in his rookie season. Grayson logged an 11.12 ERA in 11.1 innings of work, allowing 15 runs and striking out six. A steady bullpen arm, Grayson's longest outing of his freshman season was a three-inning appearance against Seton Hall.

Junior Griffin White is a lefty who has battled injury at Wagner, entering his third season after making three appearances in 2025. In his 2024 rookie campaign, White made 14 appearances with two starts, finishing with 21.0 innings of work and 21 strikeouts.

Right-handed pitcher Sam Bonilla enters a graduate season in his second year on Grymes Hill, a reliever who logged 14 appearances out of the bullpen in 2025. Bonilla logged 16.1 innings of work, finishing out the season with a 10.47 ERA and a 2-1 record, striking out 15 batters.

Righty Justin Roitman enters his senior season as a major bullpen contributor for the Seahawks, making 17 appearances in 2025. He recorded a 3-2 record, finishing with a 6.89 ERA and 1.65 WHIP through 32.2 innings of work where he allowed 30 runs and struck out 36.

Righty Frankie Nardo will be a sophomore in the 2026 season, coming off eight appearances and two starts in his rookie campaign. He has a 5.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP after 9.0 innings of work where he allowed seven hits and struck out five.

Two-Way Players

Infielder Nicholas Mazzotta was Wagner's only two-way player in 2025, half of a returning pair of middle infielders and a relief arm out of the bullpen. He finished with a .335 batting average across 53 games started, with 74 hits, 44 runs and 31 RBIs. On the mound, he made 10 appearances with 9.0 innings pitched, logging a 7.00 ERA with seven scoreless outings.

Matthew Moconyi is back with the Seahawks for his junior season after sitting 2025. He was a two-way player his freshman season, making one appearance at the plate and four as a pitcher, logging a 3.86 ERA in 4.2 innings of work.

Position Players

Leo Doyle enters his junior season in 2026, part of a strong returning contingent of outfielders for the Seahawks. He appeared in 25 games his sophomore season, logging a .206 batting average with seven hits.

Infielder Matt Sutera returns for Wagner after a massive rookie campaign that finished with him earning a spot on the All-NEC second team. Sutera hatted .340 in NEC play, earning NEC Rookie of the Week honors on four occasions.

Senior Emmett Coco enters his fourth year with the Seahawks after posting a .400 batting average in 2025, appearing in ten games and finishing with a .500 on-base percentage. His best outing was a 2-of-2 game against Delaware State, where both hits were doubles.

Christian Knight enters his junior campaign, looking at a larger role behind the dish for the Seahawks after the departure of veteran catcher Xavier Ulrich. Knight has a .303 career batting average through two seasons, putting up 14 hits and nine RBIs.

Sophomore Jayden Alvarez hits 2026 with a 1.000 batting average from his rookie season, where he appeared in six games and finished with four runs on two hits. Returning just the middle infielders from last season, Alvarez can be a valuable presence as the Seahawks establish who will man the corners.

Another Seahawk sidelined for 2025, junior Josiah Ross is an outfielder who had a solid rookie campaign on Grymes Hill. Bringing significant speed that had him 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts, Ross made 41 appearances in 2024, finishing with a .211 average and .621 OPS.

Graduate Lukas Torres will be in a sixth year with the Seahawks as a valuable leader on the field and in the dugout, an All-NEC second teamer in 2025 and a representative for Wagner on the NEC All-Tournament team. He finished the season with a .351 batting average, starting 51 games to log 71 hits and 15 doubles, earning 31 walks.

Joseph Mennella was another All-NEC second team selection for the Seahawks, an essential bat in the lineup who rounded out his sophomore season with a .290 batting average in conference play. He led the team with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs.

Catcher Andrew Marquis enters his sophomore season with nine appearances under his belt. In 2025, Marquis walked twice, scored a pair of runs and accounted for an RBI to finish with a .154 OBP.

Catcher Dylan Simeone did not see any action his freshman season, so he enters his sophomore season looking to take the field, one of a group of four catchers for the Seahawks in 2026.

Diego Tavarez is one of a pair of returning outfielders for the Seahawks, entering his junior season with a .311 career batting average. In 2025, he logged a .324 average with 60 hits and 11 doubles in 50 games started.

Wagner opens its season on Friday, Feb. 13 on the road at Virginia's Davenport Field at Disharoon Park. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. EST. The series will be streamed on the ACC Network+.
