OMAHA, Neb. — Graduate outfielder Lukas Torres has been named the No. 124 outfielder in the country by D1 Baseball heading into the 2026 season.
The outlet ranked the top 150 outfielders across the country in preparation for opening day, with Torres earning a nod heading into his sixth season with the Seahawks. An All-NEC second teamer and NEC All-Tournament selection coming out of the 2025 season, Torres batted .351 in his graduate season as the leadoff man for the Seahawks.
One half of a pair of returners in the outfield, Torres will bring stability in the outfield alongside junior Diego Tavarez, both playing in 50 or more of the Seahawks' games in 2025. Torres was among the nation's hardest to strikeout last season, working 31 walks and finishing with a .455 OBP.
