STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Head coach Craig Noto has signed 12 freshmen for the 2026 baseball season.
The newcomers join a 10-man transfer class and a group of 23 returners, with 11 pitchers and 12 position players returning for the Seahawks from the 2025 roster.
Infielder Jeremy Haigh is a lefty from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Out of Fox Area High School, Haigh is a four-year letter winner and varsity captain who was a three-time first team all-section selection and was named first team all-state.
Infielder Derek Patrissi was a four-year varsity starter at Yorktown High School, a three-year captain named All-Section and All-League all four years. He was named League Pitcher of the Year his junior year, then Section Player of the Year in senior year, also selected to represent team New York City in the 2024 Mike Leiderman Cup.
Left-handed pitcher Chase Brandt is a Mullica Hill, New Jersey resident who played at Bishop Eustace Prep. Brant was selected All-Olympic Conference and was selected to play in the Garden State Games, Carpenter Cup and the NJHSBCA Senior All-Star Game.
Right-handed pitcher Gavin Townsend is a White Plains, New York native who prepped at White Plains High School. While at White Plains, Townsend was a two-time All-Section and three-time All-League player.
Infielder Alex Kerr comes to Wagner from Niskayuna, New York, where he played at Niskayuna High School. At Niskayuna, Kerr was selected second-team Suburban Council at second base, then in 2025 was chosen as Suburban Council first-team infielder and NYC first-team AA second baseman.
Right-handed pitcher Quinn Finnegan comes to Wagner from Cedar Ridge High School, where he was named an All-State selection in 2023. Finnegan was also selected as All-Conference in 2023, 2024 and 2025 for his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
Catcher Dominick Inzilla is a righty who spent playing time at Allentown High School. Originally from Cream Ridge, New Jersey, Inzilla is a two-time Carpenter Cup selection who was also chosen for the NJHSBCA Senior All-Star game and the Garden State Games.
Outfielder Rocco Pierorazio prepped at Old Tappan High School [IS HE FROM OLD TAPPAN, NJ?], where he was a four-year varsity player. A three-year All-League first team selection, he was also chosen to the All-County team in his junior season. Pierorazio was also selected to play in the NJHSBCA Senior All-Star Game.
Catcher Brendan McLoughlin is a righty from Latham, New York who was a three-year varsity starter at Shaker High School. He was an All-Suburban Council, All-Section and Times Union first-team selection, as well as being named a Future Games All-Star.
Infielder William "Billy" Barthel is a righty from East Haven, Connecticut. In his time at East Haven High School, Barthel was twice named an All-Conference selection and earned the CIAC Scholar Athlete Award.
Outfielder Julian Lemper-Turkisher was named to the All-League first team for the Founders League and chosen to the PSAL All-Star game at Beacon High School as a resident of New York, New York. He was also selected to the All-PSAL first team.
Right-handed pitcher Chris Couser comes to Wagner from Mechanicville, New York. Couser was a two-time All-League and two-time All-Area selection in his time at Mechanicville High School.

Wagner opens its season on Friday, Feb. 13 on the road at Virginia's Davenport Field at Disharoon Park. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. EST. The series will be streamed on the ACC Network+.
