NEW YORK, N.Y. — Wagner was out of familiar territory for the first time this season, competing on the road for the first time at The Armory for the Dr. Sander Scorcher.
Junior Magui Calvo-Jorge won the 800m run with her fastest time of the season, finishing in 2:15.73 as one of Wagner's three runners in the event. Senior Angelina Olah and graduate Ana Blanco Duran clocked in at 2:22.57 and 2:25.63, respectively.
Graduate Jovana Miloradoic finished fifth in the triple jump, logging a 10.93m jump on her fourth attempt. In long jump, senior Julia Garcia posted a 4.82m jump, with junior Victoria Gontowicz close behiind with a 4.64m performance. In the triple jump invite, sophomore Mia Petersen posted a 10.94m jump.
In the mile, junior Victoria Ann Dziubela and senior Angela Cavalieri each logged a personal best time. Dziubela finished in 5:10.50, with Cavalieri finishing in 5:30.91.
Freshman Rehanna Syed ran a personal best in the 3,000m run, logging a 10:48.38 finish. In her first meet of the season, sophomore Kate Connolly was just behind Syed with a 10:54.44 time.
Sophomore Christine Manneh finished seventh in the 60m dash invite, logging a 7.78-second time after finishing eighth in the preliminary. She also posted a 25.68-second time in the seeded 200m dash.
In the seeded 400m, junior June Fernandez clocked in at 59.36, with senior Angel Okafor finishing in 1:02.27. Junior Rylee Ferretti ran a 10:03.08 time in the 3,000m invite for her best time of the season.
Next up, Wagner will split up, heading to the Mets Indoor Championship and Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday, Jan. 30. Held in Boston, Massachusetts at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center, the John Thomas Terrier Classic will wrap up on Saturday, Jan. 31.
