BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Junior Rylee Ferretti has been named Athlete of the Week by the Northeast Conference following her performance at CCSU's Ted Owen Invite, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
In her first meet of the young 2025 season, Ferretti clocked in at 17:44.50 in the 5K to take ninth place individually. Held at Stanley Quarter Park, the course was host to the 2024 NEC Championships, where Ferretti logged a 17:55.50 time to finish sixth.
With her time leading the team, the Wagner women went on to place fifth at the Ted Owen Invite with 133 team points.
Alongside Ferretti in the weekly conference honors, graduate Justin Morris was named NEC Prime Performer for his sixth-place finish in the 8.2K at the Ted Owen Invite.
Next up, the Seahawks head to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh at the Goodman Course.
