Teaneck, NJ – The Seahawks fell to NEC rival FDU 0-1 in the opening game of the series on Friday, March 28.
The game started off slowly, with both teams unable to score. Solid defensive plays from both sides kept runners from reaching home plate throughout the game.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Knights makes a run, scoring the first and only run of the game. The Seahawks had an opportunity to respond in the top of the seventh inning.
With sophomore 
Sammy Bolton on third base and sophomore 
Leilani Gonzales at bat, they had a chance to tie the game. However, Gonzales struck out, leaving Bolton not being able to run to home plate.
The Seahawks will be back in action on Saturday, March 29, for a doubleheader against FDU. Game one will start at 1 pm.
