Julia Fabozzi Named All-NEC Second Team; Keana Foz Named All-NEC Defensive Team

Bridgewater, NJ – Graduate student Julia Fabozzi has earned a spot on the All-NEC Second Team, while freshman Keana Foz was named to the All-NEC Defensive Team.

Fabozzi's second-team selection marks the first of her career. She leads the Seahawks and ranks fifth in the Northeast Conference (NEC) in scoring with 15.9 points per game while also ranking sixth in rebounding at 5.9 per contest. The Staten Island, NY native has reached double figures in scoring 20 times across 27 games, including 11 performances in NEC play.

One of her standout moments came in a triple-overtime thriller against LIU, where she scored a career and NEC-high 40 points—tying for eighth in college basketball this season and sixth all-time in Wagner history. Fabozzi was also named NEC Co-Player of the Week on Feb. 18 after leading Wagner to a 61-56 victory over Le Moyne with 24 points, 13 rebounds, a block, and a steal in 36 minutes. In that performance, she tied her career high with five made three-pointers.

Fabozzi returned to the lineup last season appearing in just seven games due to an ACL injury. Averaging only 2.3 points per game she upped her scoring by 13.6 per game.

Foz, the only freshman selected to the All-NEC Defensive Team, becomes the first Seahawk to earn the honor since Jasmine Nwajei in 2015. The Mississauga, Ontario native led the NEC in steals, averaging 2.4 per game, and ranks sixth nationally among freshmen in that category.

In 27 appearances this season, Foz recorded multiple steals in 18 games, including 11 contests with three or more. She was named NEC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 16 after a career-best 13-point performance in Wagner's 62-60 win over NJIT, where she also contributed five assists, five rebounds, and two steals. She followed that up with an 11-point effort against Rutgers, scoring the Seahawks' first nine points of the game.

Fabozzi, Foz, and the Seahawks now turn their attention to the NEC Tournament, where they will face No. 2 seed Stonehill in the quarterfinals on Monday, March 10, at 7:00 PM in Easton, MA.
