Series History
Saturday's matchup marks the 49th all-time meeting between the two programs, with CCSU holding a narrow 25-23 series advantage. The Blue Devils claimed the first meeting this season, defeating Wagner 62-55 on January 11 at the Spiro Sports Center.
Scouting the Blue Devils
CCSU enters the contest following a 75-64 road loss at Le Moyne on Thursday, February 27. The Blue Devils currently sit in fourth place in the NEC standings with two games left in the regular season.
Graduate student Belle Lanpher leads the NEC in scoring, averaging 22.9 points per game, while also pacing the team in assists (3.4 APG) and rebounds (6.1 RPG). CCSU ranks fourth in the conference in both scoring (60.5 PPG) and scoring defense (67.0 PPG).
Fabozzi on Fire
Graduate student
Julia Fabozzi has been a dominant force for the Seahawks, earning NEC Co-Player of the Week honors earlier this season. She put up 24 points and 13 rebounds in a 61-56 win over Le Moyne. Fabozzi also delivered a career-best 40-point performance against LIU, shooting 14-of-20 from the field and 11-of-13 from the free-throw line. Her 40-point outing is the highest single-game total in the NEC this season, the eighth most in college basketball, and tied for sixth in Wagner history.
Fabozzi, who missed most of last season due to a knee injury, has returned in full force, ranking second in the NEC with 16.2 points per game. She also scored 38 points against Old Westbury on December 30.
Washington's Impact
Taleah Washington made her highly anticipated return to the court on December 21 after missing the first 10 games of the season. She quickly made history, dishing out a program-record 22 assists against Old Westbury, surpassing Alice Burgos' previous mark of 16 set in 1989. Washington's 22 assists rank second all-time in NCAA women's basketball history.
Freshman Keana Fox has started every game for Wagner this season and currently leads the NEC in steals per game (2.3). She also ranks sixth nationally among freshmen in steals per game.
Earlier this season, Fox was named NEC Rookie of the Week after averaging 12 points, 3.5 assists, and 3 rebounds per game. She was also selected to the 2024 FIU Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team.
Modesayor Finding Her Stride
Sophomore
Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor has been making an impact for the Seahawks, earning NEC Prime Performer honors last week. She recorded a career-high 21 points and eight rebounds against Le Moyne, followed by her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in a win over CSU. Modesayor has now posted three consecutive games in double figures, including an 11-point performance against LIU.

Hawa Balde-Camara topping the individual charts at 1.7 blocks per game.
