STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Wagner College women's basketball team hosts Patriot League member Lafayette for a Thursday tip-off on NEC Front Row.. The Seahawks-Leopards matchup is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center.

Irene's Return
After missing the first three games of the year due to a wrist injury, wing Irene Fernandez de Caleya scored five points and added three rebounds in her season debut. Last season, Fernandez de Caleya appeared in 19 games, making five starts while averaging 3.3 points and 3.9 rebounds.
Number 44
Wagner corralled 44 rebounds in each of the Seahawks' first three games. The Green & White grabbed a season-high 18 offensive rebounds at NJIT.
The Non-Conference Road Ahead
Wagner completes a three-game home stand to round out the month against Iona on Monday, November 24, and Cornell on Sunday, November 30. The Seahawks head back onto the road for a three-game road trip at Columbia on December 6 before heading to Rider on December 13 and University of Rhode Island on December 19. The Green & White wrap up the 2025 year with a matchup against NJCU on December 30 at Spiro.

The all-time series record between Wagner and Lafayette stands at 7-6 in favor of the Leopards. Lafayette has won the last three matchups, including four out of the last five. Most recently, Lafayette took down Wagner by a score of 74-45 in Easton, PA during last year's meeting on December 8. The last time the Seahawks took down the Leopards was during the 2018 season, where the Green & White won 43-66 on Staten Island.

The Lafayette Leopards come into Spiro Sports Center with a 2-3 record, riding a two-game win streak with wins over Saint Peter's and Saint Francis U. Senior Sauda Ntaconayigize leads Lafayette's offensive attack, averaging a team-high 13.5 points and 4.0 rebounds. Ntaconayigize scored 18 points in Lafayette's win over the Red Flash. Junior Teresa Kiewiet leads the Leopards with 5.7 rebounds per game while averaging 11.7 points. Freshman Haylie Adamski is third on the roster in points per game with 11.2.
