PHILADELPHIA, PA — Wagner fencing will open their 2025-26 season by traveling to Temple and participating in the Coach Nikki Franke Classic. The women's team will compete on Saturday, October 25, and the men will compete the following day at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

This is the second straight year that Wagner will participate in the Classic, along with over 200 other fencers from multiple schools around the country.

Last season, the men's team finished 15-20 overall, while the women's team finished 19-22. The Seahawks were able to send current junior Flavio Vinci to the national championships in College Park, PA, where he finished 16th in the men's sabre championships.

After the Coach Nikki Franke Classic, Wagner fencing will compete at the Drew Invitational on November 2.
