Bridgewater, NJ - Three members of the Wagner track & field teams received Northeast Conference (NEC) weekly honors, the conference announced today. 

Senior Ruth-Ann Chambers was named the conference's Women's Track Athlete of the Week while sophomore Jack Mason was named the conference's Men's Field Athlete of the Week and freshman Mia Petersen took home Women's Rookie of the Week honors.

At the Spartan Invitational, Chambers won the the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.78 and also took third in the 200m dash with a time of 25.17.

Mason took second in the long jump with a best jump of 7.46 (24-5.75). Mason's jump set a new school record and currently sits at 16th best in the country this season. This is Mason's second Men's Field Athlete of Week honor this season.

Petersen claimed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.43 (17-9.75).

Junior Julio Martinez, junior Alex Taddeo, sophomore Magui Calvo, senior Gia Comerford and junior Angeline Olah was also named Prime Performers by the NEC.

Next up, a portion of the team will return to action for the Ramapo College Season Opener on Friday, January 17 at the Armory Track, while other Seahawks will compete at the NYC Gotham Cup at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
