LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Wagner finished third at the Rider Invitational on Saturday at the Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex.
Sophomore
Jaden Hobbs led the way on the track, finishing first in the 200m dash with a time of 21.84 seconds. He also took second in the 100m, clocking in at 11.02 seconds. Freshman
Ersell McCullen added a top-10 finish in the 200m, placing ninth with a time of 22.44.
Senior
Dante Rodney paced Wagner in the 400m hurdles, finishing second with a time of 54.77. He was joined by freshman
Chase Rogers, who ran a 56.19 to finish third, while junior
Michael Seawright (57.64) and junior
Jonathan Carman (59.53) rounded out the Seahawks' group in the event.
Junior
Eric Marquez turned in a fifth-place finish in the 1500m, crossing the line in 4:02.13.
In the field events, senior
Julio Martinez took first place in the pole vault, clearing 4.50m. Senior
Eskil Njerve and sophomore
Amir Shokry each cleared 4.20m to tie for third. Junior
Andrew Woods added a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.25m.
Next up, the Seahawks will wrap up competition at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Sunday, April 19, in Piscataway, New Jersey, before heading to the Penn Relays next week in Philadelphia.
