Men’s Track & Field Sets Pair of Records, Finishes Third at Rutgers Relays

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Wagner set a pair of school records on the way to a third-place finish at the Rutgers relays. The Seahawks scored 66 team points to finish 16 points above fourth-place NJIT.

Junior Jack Mason established a new program record in long jump, setting the mark at 7.59m after finishing third in the event. He breaks the record previously set at 7.48m by Ryan Lane at the 2024 Rider Invitational on April 20, 2024. Junior Khalid Brown finished in fifth behind Mason with a 7.45m jump, joined by sophomore Ty Lawless in sixth place with a 7.34m mark of his own.

Freshman Noah Grant set a new program record in the 200m dash, clocking in at 21.09 seconds to finish second. The 200m record previously stood at 21.22 seconds, set by Jason Marchese on May 6, 2023 at the 2023 NEC Outdoor Championships.

Sophomore Julio Tatis joined Grant in the top five, running a 21.44 second time to finish fifth. Sophomore Jaden Hobbs ran a personal best of 21.77 to finish 12th and senior Alex Taddeo rounded out Wagner's finishers in the top 20, running a 21.94 time in heat four.

Competing in the javelin throw, senior Dario Sina de la Fuente took second place, logging a 61.33m throw in just his second meet of 2026. Representing Wagner in the throws, senior Christopher Milillo took second in hammer throw with a 56.59m performance.

In the men's 4x100 relay, Grant, Tatis, senior Shawn Keegan and Taddeo ran a 41.98-second combined time to take second place. The 4x200 relay team, made up of junior Michael Seawright, senior Arjanvir Singh, senior Jonathan Carman and sophomore David Akinola, finished in 1:31.19 to also finish second.

Wagner's pole vaulters took consecutive places, with senior Julio Martinez finishing fifth with a 4.47m clearance. Sophomore Amir Shokry and senior Eskil Njerve finished sixth and seventh with a pair of 4.32m clearances.

Senior Dante Rodney ran a 50.20-second 400m dash to finish 18th. He also clocked in with a 22.57-second time in the 200m. Freshman Ersell McCullen took 16th in the 110m hurdles, logging a 16.11-second time before also competing in the 200m dash, where he added a 22.22-second finish.

In the 400m hurdles, Carman ran a new personal best, clocking in at 56.77 to finish 16th. Seawright ran a 58.95 time and freshman Christian Mullins, running a 1:05.15 time, also had a personal best.

Next up, the Seahawks will again split their time, heading to the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships and Rider Invitational on Saturday, April 18. The IC4A/ECAC Championships, a two-day meet stretching into Sunday, April 19, will be held at Rutgers' Bauer Track & Field Complex. The Rider Invitational, just held on Saturday, will be at the Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex.
