BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Freshman Noah Grant has been named Co-Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week by the NEC, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Grant won the 100m dash at William and Mary's Colonial Relays with a 10.36-second time, currently holding the fastest time in the conference for the 2026 outdoor season. The 4x400 relay team, made up of Grant, freshman Chase Rogers, senior Dante Rodney and junior Arjanvir Singh, took fourth place with a 3:15.99 time. They currently sit second in the NEC standings for outdoor season, just behind CCSU's 3:14.73 time from March 26.
Alongside Grant, eight Seahawks — senior Dante Rodney, junior Jack Mason, sophomore Christine Manneh, sophomore Mia Petersen, graduate Florian Hinry, graduate Justin Morris and junior Magui Calvo-Jorge — have been named Prime Performers by the NEC for their performances at the Colonial Relays.
Next up, the Seahawks will split their time for the weekend, competing in both the Rutgers Relays and the Bison Outdoor Classic. Held Saturday, April 11, the Rutgers relays will be a one-day meet at the Bauer Track & Field Complex. Also beginning Saturday, Bucknell hosts the Bison Outdoor Classic at Christy Matthewson-Memorial Stadium, stretching two days and wrapping up Sunday, April 12.
