Fairfield, CT - The Wagner College men's lacrosse team dropped a conference contest at Sacred Heart, 19-6, on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers opened the first quarter on a 6-0 run before junior Carson Skinner got the Seahawks on the board with 21 seconds remaining in the frame.
After junior Conor Julich opened the second quarter with a goal, the Pioneers rattled off six consecutive goals to take a 12-2 lead into halftime.
Sacred Heart opened the third quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 16-2 lead before Wagner ended the third frame on a 2-0 run. Goals from junior James Rea and Carson Skinner cut the deficit to 16-4 entering the fourth quarter.
Sacred Heart outscored Wagner 3-2 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.
Carson Skinner led the Seahawks attack with two goals in the contest.
Wagner will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10 when they travel to Lexington, VA to take on VMI ar 3:00 pm.
