Syracuse, NY - The Wagner College softball team dropped the series finale at Le Moyne, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon.
With the win in the rubber match, the Dolphins took two out of three games in the series.Â
Wagner jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning with freshman Anna Burke bringing home the first run with an RBI groundout.
The Seahawks doubled their lead in the top of the third inning as freshman Lea Rachal brought home sophomore Payton Janicki with a single.
Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Dolphins tallied three runs to take a 4-2 lead.
Lea Rachal, and freshmen Sydnie Trujillo and Noelle Stephan all had two hits for Wagner in the series finale.
Wagner will be back in action on Tuesday, April 23 when they travel to Brooklyn, NY to take on LIU in a doubleheader. Game one will begin at 1:00 pm and game two will begin at 3:00 pm.
